Teresa Sapey
CEO and founder of the eponymous Studio Teresa Sapey, Italian born Sapey was trained as an architect at Turin Polytechnic and L’École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture in Paris. In 1990, she relocated to Madrid and formed her own studio. Committed to academia, Sapey is currently professor of plastic investigation at Camilo José Cela University in Madrid. Studio Teresa Sapey is engaged in installation, graphic and product design. They are passionate about combining art, humour and functionality to their works. Sapey also re-designs what she calls ‘non-spaces’ such as car parks, underground spaces and roads. The studio has won multiple awards over the past fifteen years, and in 2009 Sapey was named Woman of the Year by Vanity Fair.
