Grafite Design
The Gruppo Grafite of Laura De Lorenzo, Luca Leonori and Stefano Stefani architect studio began in 1980 in Rome. Its associates have won many awards and have received eight mentions at Compasso d’Oro competition. They are well known for industrial design, particularly in the furniture sector. Their preference goes to a functional style with careful research in new materials and technology. Grafite work is “design in progress” as for the research process and for the versatility of the products. It shows an interesting contrast between a dynamic research design and a more static formal design. Providing new high efficiency products obtained with low cost simple mechanism is the main goal for Grafite.
