A high-profile darling of the design world, Patricia Urquiola opened her studio in Milan in 2001, where she designs for renowned Italian and international brands like B&B Italia, Louis Vuitton, Ferrari and Andreu World.
Thought of as the ‘architect of nature’, Toyo Ito finds inspiration in natural ecosystems and applies their shapes, materials and structures to buildings and furniture.
Studio Massaud, founded in 1996 is a multi-disciplinary practice focussed on brand, architecture, industrial and furniture design. The firm is driven by the pursuit of ‘synthesis, lightness, transparency and the reduction of the superfluous’.
With comfort as his starting-point, Pierre Paulin became a freelance designer for Artifort from the 1960s. This relationship produced many iconic modernist chairs, including Ribbon, Butterfly, Mushroom, Tulip and Orange Slice.
