Nanimarquina was founded in 1986 by Nani Marquina, a celebrated interiors and print designer, and daughter of pioneering Spanish designer Rafael Marquina. Her first collection was a range of textiles for the home with a focus on rugs.

From here Nani collaborated with her contemporaries, designers such as Javier Mariscal and Jorge Pensi, then went on to work with world renowned designers such as Diego Fortunata, Sybilla and America Sanchez amongst others.

The Nanimarquina range of rugs has grown into a multi-faceted, award winning collection which adorns the likes of New York’s Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) and many proud homes and businesses around the world. It includes more than 180 rugs from a collection of designers who have become household names.

Strong in themes of fine art, materials (NZ wool) colour, handmade production and geometrics, the Nanimarquina range is a truly striking collection of contemporary handmade rugs.
